Hank update

If there’s one thing the audience of this newsletter is clamoring for, it’s more Hank updates. I understand, and will deliver.

Since Rob and Hank moved out, Hank has made a friend. Marzipan is Hank’s person’s person’s corgi. Hank has not traditionally appreciated small dogs. Rob thinks gangs of yip-yip dogs used to ambush Hank in his pre-adoption home. When he’s at the dog park, Hank stays on leash because if little dogs sniff at him he sets his boundaries vigorously. People find all that barking threatening, because it is Hank making a threat. Hank allows Marzipan an exception.

Hank now tolerates being left alone, especially if he’s in Robby’s truck or with Marzipan. He figures no one would abandon something that cute.

Hank’s coat is shinier. His jowls are just as droopy. His main interests remain sleeping and leaning.

Hank is well and we still meet in bars. This is news from Portland.
